Post-production Supervisor
For the 2020 season of Modern Workplace, we needed a new intro package that could carry the idea of transformation without spelling it out too hard. I worked with Ranger & Fox on a system built around a shifting surface that rotated, slid, and revealed new information as the sequence moved forward.
The interesting part was that the surface had to do two jobs. Sometimes it was the full graphic moment. Other times it sat more quietly behind footage and introduced supporting show package elements. My role was helping guide that idea from early concept into production and keeping the motion language cohesive all the way through.
- I helped shape a show package built around a rotating surface that revealed content and carried the season theme.
- I worked with Ranger & Fox to move the concept from boards into a functioning motion system.
- I used storyboards, animatics, and test passes to make sure the energy felt right before final production.
Microsoft
The storyboard phase was where the surface idea really started to take shape. I worked with the team to map out how it would rotate, shift, and reveal content so the motion felt tied to the season's transformation theme instead of just looking flashy.
That early work gave us a clearer direction before we started animating and helped make sure everyone was solving the same problem.

Boardomatic
Once the boards were working, I built animatics to test how the surface moved over time. That was the point where we could start judging pacing, transitions, and how much energy the package actually needed.
It also made the jump from static frames into moving sequences a lot smoother because we had already worked through the core motion logic.
Test Animations
After that, we moved into test animations so the team could start refining the movement and overall feel of the surface before final production. Those passes helped us tune the balance between motion and restraint.
That process ended up being pretty important. It gave the intro sequence a stronger sense of rhythm and made the finished package feel more intentional.
