Animator, Director & Producer

I made this piece in 2014 for the Systane team's annual kickoff meeting. The brief was to show Systane out front in the dry eye category without falling back on the usual product language, so we built it around a desert race.
That metaphor gave the project its shape. Katy Farley created the artwork, and I directed and animated the film, pushing the look harder than most of the Alcon work I was making at the time. Faster pacing, bolder motion, and a style that felt more graphic and energetic.
What I liked about this one was the tone shift. It still had a clear job to do, but it got there through momentum instead of explanation. For a kickoff piece, that was the whole point.

• Built around a desert racing metaphor to position Systane as the product out front in dry eye treatment.
• Directed and animated the film while collaborating with Katy Farley on the visual style.
• Used the project to push beyond the more restrained Alcon look and give the kickoff meeting a stronger opening beat.
