During my tenure at Alcon, I spearheaded the implementation of live remote meetings and training sessions, leveraging our studio's advanced capabilities. Initially, we used our Tricaster live production switcher for on-location shoots to capture training sessions. As I honed my skills with the Tricaster, I discovered that I could produce high-quality edits on-site. This led to the realization that we could intercept video signals from Skype calls and broadcast an edited signal to remote teams.

This breakthrough significantly enhanced our training programs, offering numerous benefits. It eliminated the need for costly travel, saving Alcon over $10,000 per call. Additionally, it improved audience engagement and provided flexibility for participants worldwide, who could join from any location with a laptop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Live Meetings: Organized and managed live broadcasts for remote associates, particularly beneficial for sales teams and training participants.
• Innovative Streaming: Pioneered the remote streaming of live meetings, capturing video on 2-3 cameras and performing live edits that were broadcasted in real-time.
• Cost Savings and Engagement: This initiative resulted in substantial cost savings and better engagement from the audience, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our training sessions.

Impact:

• Global Reach: Enabled training sessions that could cover multiple regions simultaneously, including EMEA and the US, providing a flexible and efficient training solution.
• Enhanced Training Experience: Participants could view pre-recorded videos while waiting for live sessions and submit questions in advance, ensuring a comprehensive and interactive training experience.
• Live Equipment Demonstrations: Facilitated live demonstrations of equipment, allowing trainers to answer questions and provide real-time solutions, further enriching the training content.
