UI Production Director
This was one of our first attempts to show AI inside Windows, which made the brief pretty straightforward and pretty tricky at the same time. We needed to introduce Bing in the taskbar, bring in a few broader Windows updates, and make the whole thing feel clear on a small screen.
We built the video in 10 days. As UI Production Director, I helped shape the screen story around the taskbar integration, then worked with the team to bring in touch refinements, Start updates, and virtual desktops without letting the piece get crowded.
What came out of it ended up being useful beyond the launch itself. It set an early direction for how we started visualizing AI in Windows: less UI, clearer hierarchy, and more focus on the moment that actually matters.
- Built around Bing in the taskbar, with the UI stripped back so the AI moment read quickly.
- Created in a 10-day sprint and structured so the main film could also support shorter cutdowns.
- Helped establish a simpler screen language that carried into later Windows AI work.
