Director of Photography, Producer & Editor
In 2011, I shot and edited a news-style video for Dentoneer covering the ribbon-cutting for the DCTA train connecting Denton to Dallas.
The event itself was pretty straightforward. Speeches, crowd moments, officials, the ribbon. The job was finding enough shape in that material to make it feel like more than documentation and give the piece some energy without overstating it.
I handled the production and post, looking for angles, pacing, and cut points that could carry the story cleanly. What came out of it was a simple local piece about a civic milestone, and about what that new connection meant for Denton at the time.
- Covered the ceremony in a news-style format for Dentoneer, including speeches, crowd reactions, and the ribbon-cutting itself.
- Shot and edited the piece to give a civic event some motion and structure while keeping the documentary feel intact.
- Framed the story around the new rail connection between Denton and Dallas and its importance to the city.
