Director, Producer, DP & Editor
In 2010, I produced four live music broadcasts from Dan's Silverleaf to the Denton Public Access channel. The whole thing was part club show, part live TV, and it depended on making a small venue behave like a broadcast studio.
I handled the production end to end. I booked the bands, designed the graphics, shot and edited the taped segments that introduced each act, and ran the live switch on a Tricaster once we were on air. During the show, I was also directing camera operators and coordinating lighting and audio so the pace never sagged between performances and interviews.
What made it memorable was the setup. Because the venue sat close enough to the Charter cable station, we could run lines straight from the club into the network and broadcast the show across Denton. It was scrappy, technical, and a lot of fun.
