Post-production Supervisor
In 2020, I oversaw the production of an updated intro sequence for Microsoft's web series, Modern Workplace. This project, completed in collaboration with Studio Ranger & Fox, aimed to encapsulate the transformative theme of the season.
- Project Overview: Modern Workplace delves into how modern businesses leverage technology to enhance productivity, efficiency, and security. The 2020 season emphasized transformation, showcasing how enterprises are evolving their workplaces and culture in the ever-changing digital landscape. We tasked Ranger & Fox with creating a new show package to embody this theme.
- Creative Direction: The updated intro sequence features a dynamic surface that continuously rotates, shifts, and slides to reveal new information, driving the narrative forward. This surface, always alive and filled with energy, exists in a full graphic form or subtly behind the footage, flipping and rotating to introduce supporting show package elements. This physical representation of the evolving business landscape aligns with the season's transformative theme.

As the Post-Production Supervisor, I provided direction and production support throughout the project. Below are some of the key elements created during the production process:
Storyboards:
- Concept Visualization: Collaborated with the team to develop detailed storyboards that visualized the evolving surface concept, ensuring alignment with the transformative theme.

Animatics:
- Dynamic Motion Planning: Created animatics to map out the dynamic movements of the surface, facilitating a smooth transition from static storyboards to animated sequences.
Test Animations:
- Refinement and Iteration: Oversaw the creation of test animations, allowing the team to refine the movement and energy of the surface before final production.
These elements were crucial in developing the updated intro sequence, ensuring it effectively captured the spirit of transformation and innovation central to the Modern Workplace series. The collaborative effort resulted in a visually compelling and thematically resonant introduction that set the tone for the season.
