This was a sizzle opener for a Microsoft financial webcast in 2019, built around a pretty broad idea of the modern workplace. The challenge was turning that into something concise and watchable.
I edited the piece to focus on the shift from routine work toward something more collaborative, creative, and secure. Rather than treat it like a feature list, I shaped it as a fast-moving story about how Microsoft's tools could support that change.
The job was really about tone. It needed enough energy to open the webcast well, but it also had to stay clear and grounded. The final edit framed the modern workplace as something practical, connected, and still human.
