UI Production Director
Surface Laptop 5 was really a polish project. The device already had a clear tone, so the UI work needed to feel precise, restrained, and fully in step with the hardware.
I led the UI animation for the launch film, building every screen moment and working closely with the design and development teams to make sure the motion matched the product's real interactions. A lot of the work lived in the details: timing, easing, spacing, and making sure the screens felt natural instead of overly staged.
It also benefited from the reusable UI template system I had built during the Windows 11 2022 work. That gave us a faster way to iterate and helped keep the behavior consistent from shot to shot. The final piece landed as a clean product film that let the laptop feel elegant without pushing too hard.
- Created all UI animation for the Surface Laptop 5 launch film.
- Worked from the product's real interactions and Microsoft's design language so the motion felt accurate and controlled.
- Used a reusable UI template system carried forward from the Windows 11 2022 work, which made iteration faster and kept the screen behavior consistent.
