Producer

Departure was a short sci-fi film I produced with Take Aim Pictures in 2010. We shot it over two weekends, which meant the whole production depended on tight planning and a lot of adjustment once things got moving.
Most of my job was keeping the film on track. That included locking locations, managing the schedule on set, and making sure the production could keep pace with a story that was bigger than our resources. One of the key locations came together just a day before the shoot, so a lot of the work was staying calm, solving problems quickly, and protecting the time we had.
The film follows a young boy tied to a colonization program after Earth can no longer support life. It was an ambitious story for a small production, which is part of what made it worth doing.
