I’m a Seattle-based video storyteller and motion designer with over 15 years of experience translating complex ideas into human-centered stories. From producing hundreds of videos each year at Alcon to shaping narratives on Microsoft’s Visual Design team, I’ve handled scripting, directing, filming, animating and editing. Recently I’ve leaned into AI tools to streamline workflows and spark new creative ideas. My mission is simple: make videos that inform and truly resonate with audiences.

No matter the project, big or small, I start by asking: what’s the story and who’s listening? I’ve learned that even the slickest visuals fall flat without a human heartbeat. I excel at turning technical jargon into moments people feel: whether it’s a Microsoft or Adobe demo, a Canon showcase or a United Way film. If someone walks away moved or enlightened, we’ve done our job. For me, storytelling isn’t just one step in production; it’s the lens through which I view every frame.

Ui Director, Motion Designer, Producer & Editor

As UI Director on Microsoft's Visual Design (VisD) Team, I played a pivotal role in video for Microsoft’s headline announcements: Windows 11, Surface devices, Copilot+ PCs, Recall, you name it. I owned the look and feel of every on-device demo, from solo contributor to team lead, making sure each animation showed off our software’s most compelling moments.

The graphic above illustrates my storytelling-first philosophy: I hunt for the user journey hidden inside every UI flow. Rather than bury audiences in procedural detail, I map out the emotional beats ofwhat intrigues, what delights and then bring those beats to life in motion. To keep this process fast and repeatable, I engineered a library of After Effects presets and scripts so each new Surface demo retained its narrative punch without blowing up our timeline.

Make AI Simple with Adobe

On behalf of Adobe, I owned this video end-to-end: shaping the concept, co-writing the script, hand-drawing storyboards, directing voice-overs, animating in After Effects, and fine-tuning the edit. Our goal was to demystify Adobe’s AI tools for marketers, turning complex data workflows into clear, actionable insights. The vibrant result bridged tech and human insight, while also paving the way for my AI-driven storytelling at Microsoft.

United Way

Editor & Animator

I led the edit on a United Way campaign that celebrated real people’s journeys, none more so than Sheena’s. My role was all about crafting a sincere narrative in post: choosing the right moments, pacing them to maximize emotional connection, and weaving in visuals and audio that honored her story. In addition to the personal story, I edited a broader brandscape video that explained United Way’s mission and impact across the community. Seeing how these videos inspired new volunteers and donors drove home why storytelling is as powerful as it is personal.

Microsoft 365 Sizzle Reels and Event Videos

Post-Production Supervisor, Motion Designer & Editor

When you need hype in 120 seconds or less, I’m your person. On Microsoft 365 campaigns, I led post-production and motion design for sizzle reels that lit up Microsoft Ignite stages. Whether weaving together Teams customer stories or crafting a rapid-fire demo of a new feature, I managed every cut, transition, and animation. Under tight turnarounds, I synced with marketing briefs and engineering specs to ensure each reel hit its mark, locking in both executive applause and global viewer buzz.

Personal Project: AI Video Chatbot

On the side, I set out to merge AI and animation into a living avatar. I leaned on ChatGPT for dialogue logic and GitHub Copilot to write the connecting code. After prototyping lip-sync on video clips, I jumped into Rive for interactive character movement. Then I refactored the whole thing into a React app backed by Azure Cognitive Services, adding real-time voice synthesis and emotional cues. Building this taught me that you don’t need hardcore coding chops to pioneer fresh AI-driven narratives, just a hunger to experiment.

I’m a full-stack creative who jumps in at any stage, whether it's shooting on location, scripting the narrative, directing talent, animating graphics, or fine-tuning the edit. Lately, my secret weapon has been AI: whether it’s transcribing footage for quicker edits, auto-generating b-roll to fill in missing shots, or synthesizing voice tracks to patch a flub. These AI tools streamline the grunt work and free up more time for storytelling. To me, AI is less about replacing human touch and more about amplifying it.

Across every project, I’ve seen one constant: great videos hinge on real human connection. It’s not enough to look good on screen, you have to spark emotions, simplify complexity, and leave an imprint. I thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments that push me to innovate, especially in our new AI-driven era. Whatever comes next, my mission stays the same: craft videos that inform, inspire, and stick with people long after the lights come up.
